Frequently asked questions

Specifications and capacity
Q: What are its maximum machining dimensions?
A: Φ580 mm swing over bed, Φ450 mm machining diameter, Φ370 mm over the toolholder and 740 mm maximum length.
Q: What bar size can it accept?
A: Maximum bar capacity is Φ52 mm; spindle bore is Φ65 mm with an 8-inch hydraulic collet.
Q: What is the spindle output?
A: Up to 4,000 rpm, with an 11 kW motor, 72 N·m maximum torque and A2-6 nose.

Machine selection
Q: How does this turret lathe differ from a turning center?
A: This model uses an automatic turret for turning. A turning center with live tooling can also mill, drill and tap; select based on the required operations.
Q: HMS-750 or HMS-550?
A: The 750 offers 740 mm machining length and 800 mm Z travel; the 550 offers 540 mm and 600 mm respectively. Choose according to part length.

Production and service
Q: Can it machine long shafts?
A: Yes. Its Morse No. 5 tailstock has a Φ80 mm quill, 80 mm quill travel and 700 mm tailstock travel.
Q: Can a chip conveyor or bar feeder be added?
A: Yes. Both are available as automation options.
Q: How is machining stability supported?
A: 45 mm ball-type guideways, SYNTEC servo drives, turret positioning and tailstock support help maintain stable machining.
Q: What service and training are included?
A: The machine is offered with warranty, on-site installation and commissioning, and operation and maintenance training. Specific warranty terms are subject to the contract.
