Frequently asked questions
Specifications and capacity
Q: What are its maximum machining dimensions?
A: Φ500 mm swing over bed, Φ340 mm machining diameter, Φ260 mm over the toolholder and 320 mm maximum length.
Q: What bar size can it accept?
A: Maximum bar capacity is Φ46 mm; spindle bore is Φ56 mm with a 6-inch hydraulic collet.
Q: What is the spindle output?
A: Up to 4,500 rpm, with a 7.5 kW motor, 35.8 N·m maximum torque and A2-5 nose.
Machine selection
Q: HMS-320M or QPR-46M?
A: The 320M lists Φ340 mm machining diameter, 320 mm length and Φ260 mm over the toolholder. The QPR-46M lists Φ420 mm diameter, Φ120 mm over the toolholder and 330 mm length. Compare the part geometry and required operations.
Q: What does a turning center add to a conventional lathe?
A: Live tooling allows turning, milling, drilling and tapping in one setup, reducing re-clamping for multi-operation parts.
Production and service
Q: Can a bar feeder or chip conveyor be added?
A: Yes. A feeder and automatic chip conveyor can support continuous production with Φ46 mm bar capacity.
Q: How is accuracy supported?
A: 35 mm ball-type guideways, SYNTEC servo drives, turret positioning and a rigid compact bed support stable machining.
Q: What service and training are included?
A: The machine is offered with warranty, on-site installation and commissioning, and operation and maintenance training. Specific warranty terms are subject to the contract.
